FULL PAYMENT:
Full payment for all programs is required at registration, 48 hours prior to their start, including a non-refundable $50 registration fee. Payment may be made by Venmo, Cash, Check, Money Order, Debit Card, Visa, or MasterCard.
CLASS/COURSE WITHDRAWALS AND REFUNDS:
In the event that the dumbo workshop must cancel a course, we will refund all fees and deposits within 10 days. If you withdraw from a workshop 10 days prior to the class start date payment shall be refunded minus a $50 cancellation fee
SAME DAY CLASS CANCELLATION:
In the event that you have to miss one (1) session, you make take the next available session (first time only). We reserve the right to terminate a student agreement for excessive cancellations. In the event we have to cancel one class, you make take any class from the same course within the next 30 days
LET'S TALK SAFETY:
We furnish each student with safety glasses, dust masks, and earplugs. Shop operations require safety glasses and masks for all operations in the machine rooms and hearing protection is strongly recommended. Please note also that open-toed footwear is not permitted in the school.
SHOP SAFETY AND INJURY DISCLAIMER:
Working within and around a shop with power tools is inherently dangerous. Anyone using any of the tools or supplies at the dumbo workshop is personally responsible for learning the proper techniques involved, and the user assumes all risks and accepts complete responsibility for any and all damages and injury of any kind, including death and with the exception of negligence on the part of DUMBO WORKSHOP, agrees to hold harmless dumbo workshop, it's officers and agents, its landlord, and any relevant parties to the extent permitted by law.
Before using any hand or power tool with which you are unfamiliar, consult its operating instructions, and if necessary, seek instruction by a qualified person well versed in its operation and appropriate safety techniques. It remains up to you to make sure what you're doing is safe. The joy of woodworking, rewarding as it is, is not worth the cost of getting hurt. Please keep safety foremost in your mind whenever you're in the shop.
